Who we are
Originally a static information site for travelers visiting Copacabana, Bolivia, this project is evolving into a community platform built with local collaboration. It is led by people connected to Copacabana and open to community contributions.
What this is
Tour Copacabana is a structured guide to the Lake Titicaca region: Copacabana, Isla del Sol, Isla de la Luna, Yampupata, Kusijata, Sampaya and nearby destinations. You'll find information on places to visit, events, how to get there, and an AI assistant (Inti) that helps you plan your visit.
How to contribute
If you want to add content (guides, photos, data), fix errors, or just send us feedback, email info@tourcopacabana.com. We are opening the site to community contributions.
Technologies
The site uses Astro (framework), Postgres (database), Drizzle ORM, Clerk (authentication), OpenRouter (AI models for Inti) and Cloudinary (images). The site is NOT open source. We disclose the technologies for transparency and to comply with regulations (GDPR, CCPA) when European or US travelers use the site.
